NEW: Become a School Champion

A man and woman sitting at a desk looking at a laptop screen together, smiling. The man is wearing glasses and a dark blazer, and the woman has long hair and round glasses. They are in a modern office with brick walls and shelves with plants and books.

School Champions are the spark that helps mobilize a school community. Every school is different, so the role is flexible. You can contribute in ways that feel natural to you. Champions often:

Share the Unplugged message with families through emails, message groups, or informal conversations at school.

Help bring Unplugged to life at school events by putting up posters, handing out flyers, or running a simple booth at a fun fair, parent night, or sports event.

Collaborate with school leaders or parent councils to explore small awareness moments, introduce the pledge, or share a short presentation at a council meeting.

Organize or support Unplugged activities that encourage real-life community building and getting outside in nature.

You won’t be doing this alone! Many Champions find other parents at their school who want to help, and our team is always here with advice, encouragement, and ready‑to‑use resources.

National Ad Campaign

We are deeply grateful for the pro bono contributions of Pattison Outdoor, who donated the ad space, and For Good Intent, who provided the creative design for these images.

A young boy sitting on a swing in a park looking at his phone. Overlaid speech bubbles with text messages include questions like 'r ur parents home?', 'where do u live?', 'send a hot pic...', 'why do u look so ugly lol', and 'bro u r so dum'. The background shows trees and playground equipment. Large white text reads 'THIS IS CHILDHOOD' and 'BUT IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE'. There is a QR code on the bottom left, a URL for unpluggedcanada.com, and a small icon suggesting an app or platform.
