LET’S CHANGE THE NORM.
Delay smartphones and social media.
Join thousands of families saying ‘not yet’ to smartphones
Unplugged Canada is a grassroots movement led by parent volunteers across the country. We believe childhood should be a time for curiosity, movement, creativity, and real-life connection.
Through advocacy, resources, and our online Pledge, we help families delay smartphones until at least 14. Together, we're changing the norm so no family has to do it alone.
We're also calling on Parliament to pass Bill C-34 and set a social media age minimum of 16 in Canada.
Local Chapters across Canada
Local chapters, national movement
Unplugged Canada is powered by volunteer-run chapters across the country. Chapter leads support School Champions, host community events, run Unplugged Canada booths, and lead other initiatives. Together, they're changing the norm one community at a time.

Childhood is changing. Let’s protect it.
Unplugged Canada brings families together by pledging to delay smartphones until at least age 14 and shifting the culture — together.
Social Media is fueling a youth mental health crisis. We’re calling on the Canadian government to raise the social media age to 16. Sign our Call To Action to support.
