LET’S CHANGE THE NORM.
Delay smartphones and social media.
Unplugged Canada is a grassroots movement led by parent volunteers across the country. Through advocacy, resources, and our online Pledge, we empower parents and caregivers to delay smartphones until at least age 14 and champion legislation that protects youth from digital harm.
Our mission
Our mission is to inspire a collective commitment to restore childhood across Canada. Through advocacy, education, and an online pledge, we empower parents and caregivers to delay smartphones until at least age 14. By signing the pledge, families join a supportive community dedicated to prioritizing their children's mental health.
Our vision
Rebuilding childhood, together. We envision a world where childhood is safeguarded as a time for curiosity, creativity, and authentic human connection, free from the distractions of smartphones. By intentionally creating communities where our children can thrive together, we give them room to be fully immersed in real-life experiences that nurture their mental, emotional, and social well-being.
JOIN THE MOVEMENT
Childhood is changing. Let’s protect it.
Unplugged Canada brings families together by pledging to delay smartphones until at least age 14 and shifting the culture—together.
Social Media is fueling a youth mental health crisis. We’re calling on the Canadian government to raise the social media age to 16. Sign our Call To Action to support.
